A Singapore without any Singaporeans

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Today, thanks to the Singapore Lee ruling family's unwavering determination to make Singapore very attractive to foreigners and not so attractive to it's own citizens, it has today almost emptied itself of it's own people and replaced it with foreigners from all corners of the world, especially Communist China. You can compare this to a blood transfusion, emptying the man of this own blood and putting someone else's in it's place.

The Lee ruling family has made not only very simple but also very attractive for businesses from abroad. Almost with no questions asked, foreign businesses can not only establish one there, they can also bring move their entire staff there as well. Naturally this makes foreign businesses very happy which is why the island has repeatedly been honored for it's attractive business climate.

It is also the only country in the world as far as I know where a local business can prefer a foreigner for employment over a local, just like that. It is impossible for a German to walk into California and expect a job instantly but he can do it in Singapore.

Since the Lee family are not accountable to anyone, let alone Singaporeans as some kind of God, they are in effect emptying Singapore of it's own population and replacing it with foreigners doing business there. Native born Singaporeans are either left unemployed, have emigrated or died of old age. The only ones still remaining are the poorly skilled who are unable to emigrate to the West and are left behind.

I think all these accolades given to Singapore as the world's most business friendly city should be taken with a pinch of salt. I think they should ask Singaporeans what they think for a change.

Mr Nair,

The problem with Singapore is that the dictatorial style of leadership is causing impairment to further development.

There is a stagnant job market that is structurally unable to cater to the increasing demand of Singaporeans and their aspirations.

That is why Singapore has to import low-cost workers to maintain its productive edge.

Singaporeans have been taught well not to have their opinions, ideas and to play it safe. Good for Lee Kuan Yew and PAP so that they do not cause much trouble like Dr Chee, but it is bad to have so many deadwoods waiting for Nanny LKY next instruction. Lee and his Jr are out of ideas. Singaporeans have to fend for themselves now.

Foreign talents also make the GDP numbers to look good (tied to ministers pay) and make Singaporeans feel bad about their dependency on PAP. But after LKY betrayal of Singaporeans trust, now Singaporeans are waiting for another shiny knight on horseback to save them from their Founder and Hero.

Young Singaporeans should be more like Americans or Australians who are gungho, creative and looking forward to making a difference in their respective societies. Not in the comfort of seeking safety and easy material comfort like lawyer Blossom hing and her way of putting down Singapore to a bleaker future.
